Some big titles are on it’s way this week, which seems to have a little something for everyone including fans of open world crime games, action adventure, shooters and RPGs.
SLEEPING DOGS (XBOX 360, PS3, PC)
Since the original live action trailer announced Square Enix’s revival of the True Crimes: Hong Kong title, it had my interest. After a few gameplay trailers, it had my attention. Sleeping Dogs brings some of the over the top fights and action we’ve come to expect from Hong Kong cinema, giving us a realistic fight mechanics (with UFC Champion George St-Pierre as a combat consultant,) slow motion gun play, and high speed car-jacking, Square Enix and United Front games look to make Activision cry for letting the franchise go.
DARKSIDERS 2 (XBOX 360, PS3)
There is a lot of pressure riding on Darksiders II, being the sequel to 2010’s hit Adventure game and one of the big flagship titles for THQ this year. Darksiders II places you in the role another Horseman, Death, who is on a mission to restore humanity and redeem his brothers name.
THE LAST STORY (WII)
The much anticipated Wii RPG from Mystwalker Studios (Blue Dragon) which messes multiple genres to bring a unique gameplay experience. The game uses a cover based system for combat and stealth as well as a Real Time Strategy system to control your teammates. Definitely one of the best looking games on the Wii and one of the best JRPG’s in a long time.
