EA and Danger Close officially announced the sequel to the 2010 shooter/remake, Medal of Honor, adding in the subtle sub-title Warfighter.
Only a little bit of news came with the “inspired by true events” shooter, specifically what mission will not be in the game, including the death of Osama Bin Laden.
“That’s not our story to tell,” EA producer Greg Goodrich told OXM US. “That’s ‘family business’ to [the Tier 1 Operatives]. … It’s been an interesting exercise learning what’s okay and what’s not okay [to portray in the game].”
Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be landing in October with hopefully less damaging controversy, and will run on DICE’s Frostbyte 2.0 engine.
