Gameitall Let’s be 100% honest with each other, we were really excited about Square Enix holding their first E3 conference because we wanted to see more Kingdom Hearts, and possibly some Final Fantasy XV. Thankfully Square-Enix did come through for us on the Kingdom Hearts part and delivered a stunning new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Disney-themed RPG.
The new gameplay trailer consisted of 2 levels, one being Mount Olympus from Hercules, complete with a cool battle with a Titan, and the other was a new level from a more recent Disney hit, Tangled. The Tangled level showed off some of the environments including Rupunzel’s tower and some of the crazy new Heartless that infest the area. (Also it looked like there was a quick throwback to Twilight Town.)
Several interesting things could be taken away from the trailer, as Keyblade war was referenced several time by two characters playing chess, it’s likely that the war will play a bigger part in the story. On top of that, Sora, Donald and Goofy appeared to pick up some new moves including summoning a roller-coaster, pirate ship and Pegasus to help clear out some of the Heartless in the area.
The team is still hard at work on Kingdom Hearts 3 and no release date has been given yet, hopefully we’ll start hearing a lot more in the months to come.
