During the Computex event in Taipei, MSI has shown off one of it’s latest creations, the Backpack PC; aimed at people who want VR on the go. At around 5 Kg, this device uses HTC’s Vive, and the company states it is also compatible with other VR solutions such as the Oculus Rift.
The Backpack PC has a battery life of around one and a half hours. MSI also stated the battery can last up to five hours if the CPU usage is kept to a minimum. Though not confirmed, It’s thought that it will launch with Nvidia’s new GTX 1080 graphics card in the later half of this year.
MSI says it plans to make the retail version under 5kg. It will likely also launch with a sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GTX 1080 graphic card, 16GB RAM, and SSD.
