After some speculation after finally seeing Square Enix’s and Marvel’s The Avengers game in action at E3, Square Enix confirmed that the new Ms.Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, will be joining the cast of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal’s The Avengers.
As hinted, Kamala will be getting her Inhuman powers to stretch and grow as a result of the A-Day event. A new trailer shows off Kamala’s abilities as well as gives us more information about the game’s story, which talks about AIM attempting to cure the Inhuman disease which was created due to the fallout of the generator in the Helicarrier explosion. With the Avengers disassembled, Kamala attempts to reestablish Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to stop AIM and their Nefarious deeds.
Ms. Marvel has been gaining in popularity since her arrival in 2013. Appearing in multiple animated series, getting an upcoming TV series on Disney+ and becoming playable for the first time in this year’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. She joins Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man and Thor as playable characters in the upcoming Square Enix produced game, with promises of others to come in the game’s multiplayer mode which we have yet to get more details on.
Marvel’s The Avengers will be released on May 15th, 2020 for Google Stadia, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
