When we come back from our gaming holiday after christmas, the next wave of big titles will be set to release in February with the likes of Battleborn, Mighty No 9, Far Cry Primal, and Deus Ex Mankind Divided are just a few to name.
So it’s probably a good thing that DICE and EA have decided to delay their upcoming first person-free-running game; Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, to May 24th 2016. Producer Sara Jansson broke the news late last week in an update stating that the team have been ambitious with the project, with mentions of a “vast city to explore” and a “more engaging story” than the first Mirror’s Edge.
“We set out an ambitious vision for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst,” she wrote. “Achieving that vision and delivering the best possible experience is equally inspiring and challenging. And it takes time.”
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was first shown at E3 2014 under the title; Mirror’s Edge. The subtitle wasn’t added in until E3 2015, where the first gameplay footage was shown.
