It’s been some time since we heard some news about Comcept’s Mighty No. 9, the Megaman inspired game from Megaman creator Keiji Inafune. The last we heard from the project, the game was supposed to launch this spring, however plans had changed. This is thanks to a partnership with Deep Silver to help publish the game at retail.
The game is now set to release worldwide on September 18th and will get a boxed retail release on PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One as well as a digital release. The PS3, Xbox 360, Linux, Mac and Windows PC will be downloadable only. Finally the PSVita and 3DS versions will be available digitally at a later date.
The new partnership will allow Comcept to add more content to the game, which will be free to all backers of the game, which include Ray DLC, Voice over Support for Japanese and French, and localized versions with subtitles in a variety of languages.
“This is a great opportunity for Comcept,” Inafune said. “The partnership enables us to deliver Mighty No. 9 to a wider audience while adding some great extra value to the game. We are confident that the extra content will be worth the wait.”
