Not everything in Middle-Earth is a family friendly fantasy trip, and Talion is on a quest to prove that in the latest gameplay trailer for Monolith’s latest action adventure game, Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor. Two trailers were released showing off the game’s combat (cited to play as a cross between Assassins Creed and Batman: Arkham Series) as well as story trailer which introduces us to Talion’s quest for revenge against Sauron after his family was murdered.
Some big name voice cast has been announced as well, and chances are you’ve heard them before. With Troy Baker (the voice of Booker DeWitt of Bioshock Infinite, Joel of The Last of Us, more recently Delsin of Infamous Second Son) will provide the voice of the player character, Talion, a Ranger with powers of a Ringwraith. Other notable actors include Nolan North of Uncharted and Deadpool fame, as well as Laura Bailey of Catherine and Final Fantasy 13 trilogy fame.
WB also promoted that they acquired veteran TV, film and game composer Garry Schyman to score the music, this is following his award-winning work on Bioshock Infinite. You can catch both trailers after the jump.
