It looks like the Metal Gear Solid movie has gained some traction as Deadline has reported that Sony Pictures has closed a deal with Monsters: The Dark Continent screenwriter, Jay Basu, to work on the script for the movie adaptation of the popular stealth title.
Basu joins director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who is best known for Kings of Summer and the upcoming King Kong prequel. Currently there is no news on what the story will be, or if it will follow the games itself. The project was announced by Hideo Kojima and producer Avi Arad back in 2012.
