Halloween was the perfect time to drop new trailers for several upcoming horror games, but none were more intriguing than Supermassive Games upcoming horror anthology – The Dark Pictures – as we got to meet our one reoccurring character, the mysterious Curator.
Played by British actor Pip Torrens(Herr Starr in Preacher), The Curator is a figure beyond time, chronicling stories of both life and death in his own private compendium. He has been doing it for thousands of years but doesn’t remember when or why he started.
However now he has company and has been given the opportunity to talk to you as the manipulator of events. As the observer, he is not to interfere, but he may at times drop ambiguous and cryptic hints about things that the players may have missed with their decisions.
“We were absolutely thrilled by the response to the announcement of The Dark Pictures in August, and we’re delighted to introduce an important character today that will be present throughout The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Curator.” said Pete Samuels, Executive Producer for The Dark Pictures Anthology, at Supermassive Games. “Voiced by Pip Torrens, you’ll see him for the very first time in our Man of Medan Halloween Trailer and he acts as a guide for the players to navigate their stories.”
Like Supermassive’s Until Dawn, Man of Medan will consist of an all-star cast, however at the moment the only one confirmed is Shawn Ashmore, who is no stranger to video games as he previously starred in Remedy’s Quantum Break.
