Multiplayer for Mass Effect 3 has been getting a lot of love from Bioware and EA in terms of new missions and free DLC, but the single-player so far has only gotten the Extended cut to bring us back into the single-player campaign.
That will be changing soon though as Bioware announced the “Leviathan” DLC, the first piece of Single-player content for Mass Effect 3 that explains the origins of the games main antagonists. Bioware posted a description stating:
“Something lurks in the dark corners of space, something powerful enough to kill a Reaper. Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever. Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late.”
The DLC takes place in the mist of Mass Effect 3’s story, prior to the ending. Players will “explore uncharted systems and new areas on the Citadel” and “interact with brand new characters.” Also, you will unlock the AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle. The Leviathan DLC will land on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 later this summer for $10.
