Nintendo has announced that the upcoming Nintendo Switch Exclusive Action RPG – Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order – will be releasing on July 19th.
The newest entry in the Ultimate Alliance series looks like it’ll be heavily inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe with focus on enemies like Thanos and his Black Order searching for the Infinity Stones. The cast has 27 playable characters currently confirmed with a line-up consisting of members of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as The Defenders, Inhumans and X-Men. Of those confirmed we also have Deadpool, Venom, Captain Marvel, Falcon, Gwen Stacey (Spider-Gwen) and Miles Morales Spider-Man.
The last Ultimate Alliance game was released 10 years ago and was the last of the series of well received Action RPGs developed by Activision which started with the release of X-Men Legends. Ultimate Alliance 3 is being handled Team Ninja, who has not confirmed if this will be a continuation of the Ultimate Alliance series or a new storyline borrowing the same ideas of 4-player Superhero brawling action.
Still, fans won’t have to wait long after Avengers: Endgame – which releases on April 25th, to get some hands on time with their favourite Marvel heroes.
