With Marvel Ultimate Alliance launching later this week, players are already looking to the future of content for the upcoming Switch Exclusive in terms of new characters and stories to be explored. Luckily Team Ninja has confirmed that the game will have three DLC packs, but in a bizarre twist, these DLC packs will only be part of the game’s season pass and will not be sold separately.
As the game’s website points out, three DLC package will include new characters and stories from the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Marvel Knights, they will be sold together as part of the Season Pass which is reasonably priced at $19.99 USD. Purchasing the Season Pass also gives you an unlockable chef Deadpool costume.
The advertisement also advises that the DLC would not be sold separately as per tradition when it comes to DLC content. Team Ninja, Nintendo or Marvel has not stated why the DLC would be a Packaged Deal only, however being decently priced and confirming both story content and new characters could keep the fans happy.
The first DLC pack is set to release in Fall 2019, with the second coming shortly after and the final launching next year. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is out on July 19th 2019.
