Well it looks like Activision is in deep water again, this time with lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Levine. The Pop Rock singer is suing Activision of overuse of his character in 2009’s Band Hero (the Guitar Hero game made for your little sister) according to a suit found by The Wrap. Levine performed motion capture to have his avatar used in the Band Hero song “She Will Be Loved,” however did not give them permission to use his likeness on other songs, which Activision did.
Activision is not a stranger to lawsuits similar to Levine, Rock band No Doubt previously won their lawsuit over Activision for the exact same reasons. Seems like Adam is just jumping on the party late.
