It’s hard to believe that the free-to-play MMORPG MapleStory is 13 years old (especially when I know people who still religiously play it) however after all that time, it’s time for an upgrade. Nexon was pleased to show 500 eager fans attending the first ever MapleStory Fest on April 14th in LA the first look at MapleStory 2 and have opened registration for the upcoming beta!
MapleStory 2 will offer a new dimension to the series by being set in a colourful 3D block world (think more Dragon Quest Builders than Minecraft). The new MapleStory 2 will feature a robust set of character options, a brand new progression system, growth system, world building tools and more options to give players the ability to customize everything.
“MapleStory 2 is a testament to the creativity, diversity, and passion of our fans and developers,” said Jungsoo Lee, General Manager of Nexon America. “We are constantly creating new, interesting and quality content in order to engage with our players. It’s more than a game to us, it is a community and part of the Nexon America family.”
The closed beta is set to start on May 9th, 2018 and players can register at https://maplestory2.nexon.net
