Lost Souls Aside has been making some major waves since the first trailer for the game was released. Created by Yang Bing using the Unreal 4 engine, the game was inspired by Final Fantasy XV and mixes some high-class visuals with Ninja Gaiden like combat. Pretty impressive considering it was done by one person.
Shortly after the game’s trailer circled the internet, several companies were looking to help back the game. While Yang had stayed relatively silent about the game since the trailers drop (except for some heartfelt thank you’s on his Twitter Page) there was confirmation that the game will be a timed exclusive for the PS4 on the game’s Facebook Page.
While there hasn’t been any note on a Kickstarter or any crowdfunding at this time. Epic Games has announced in a blog post that they will be providing Yang with an Unreal Dev Grant, a program Epic games had created in which they put away $5 Million Dollars to help fund upcoming games designed in Unreal 4.
Lost Souls Aside is currently set for a 2018 release, considering the quality of the trailer and the fact that it is being developed by one guy, I think we can patiently wait for this one.
