Trigger Studios’ Little Witch Academia has been a run-away hit, starting as a short 30 minute anime special then getting a very successful Kickstarter for a longer OVA, and finally a full series order with a second season on its way which is now available via Netflix. The logical next step for Akko and her friends would be to appear in a Video Game.
Last month, Bandai Namco announced the series would be coming to PS4, but at the time was only slated for Japan and not much was stated on what the game will actually be. However over the weekend, they announced that the game will be a beat’em up with RPG elements and will feature a new storyline developed by Studio Trigger, and yes, it will be on its way to North America and Europe.
The game will be title “Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time” and is now slated for an early 2018 release on PS4 and PC. We’ll have more on the game as Bandai Namco releases more information, until then we highly recommend watching the series on Netflix if you want an anime that is too adorable for its own good.
