The fifth and final episode of Square Enix and Dontnod’s episodic adventure game, Life is Strange, is planned to release late next month according to producer Luc Baghadoust.
This marks a bit of a deviation from the game’s bi-monthly release schedule, the last episode titled “Dark Room” released early this Summer. Baghadoust mentioned this delay in the Square Enix European blog stating “We know the wait may be a bit longer than some of you were hoping for but we want to ensure Episode 5 is the best it can be,” while adding “many things can change in the lead up to release but the team are working really hard to try and hit this date.”
Baghadoust and co-director Michael Koch talked with Polygon about the game, mentioning that it the ending will “narratively complete” and while the two did not confirms plans for a second season, they did say that it would feature a cast of new characters if it was to happen.
Life is Strange Episode 5 “Polarized” will release on October 20th.
