Rockstar Games announced that they will be re-releasing the 2011 detective adventure game, L.A.Noire. The re-release will be coming to the Nintendo Switch with a series of console-specific features, as well as PS4 and Xbox One. A HTC Vive title based on the game called L.A.Noire: The VR Case Files was also announced.
The Switch version of L.A.Noire will include the original game and its downloadable content, which included two Vice cases, two Traffic cases and one Arson case, as well as special costumes and weapons. The Switch release will also feature special controls which include a gyroscopic, gesture-based controls and HD rumble, as well as “new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work,” according to Rockstar.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions boast their own improvements as well, including enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles and high resolutions textures. Rockstar has also stated that the re-release will also see 4K resolution support for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
Meanwhile the HTC Vive “The VR Case Files” will give seven self-contained cases from the original game “rebuilt specifically for virtual reality.”
All versions of the 2011 classic is set to release on November 14th 2017.
