I guess the lure of the super realistic Medieval RPG has the people wanting!
Dan Vávra (award winning designer of Mafia and Mafia 2) and his team at Warhorse have developed a unique style of first person medieval RPG by having the whole experience as accurately in the time period as possible with countless amounts of research.
They offer real world locations, stories based on true historical events, easy-to-control, first-person melee experience based on actual 15th century fighting techniques and designed in cooperation with medieval martial arts experts all in a sandbox non-linear story. You get to do what you want, when you want, wherever!
This game promises a very down-to-earth experience with no magic, no fantastical folk, only humans in human classes doing human jobs and fighting like..humans. In fact, they tell you that your character can dive in and help an NPC work, or try to interrupt them if they choose..That sounds fun, for those who like to mess with NPC’s (Me. Totally.)
Apparently this has inspired over 35 thousand backers to raise £1,106,371 which equals out to be about $1,839,673.70 US.
Their kickstarter may be over but if you want to know more about what they’re planning, what they’ve done, what the game looks like… Here’s the link! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1294225970/kingdom-come-deliverance
