Japanese Gaming Magazine Famitsu has officially confirmed that Persona 3’s Ken Amada will be joining the P-1 Grand Prix, joining with him is the Persona using Shiba Inu Koromaru as a single character. There has been some change since the events of Persona 3; Ken Amada who was the youngest member of the SEES team, was in 5 grade during the events of Persona 3, now he is a second year junior and improved his fighting and academic skills.
The unique combination of Ken and Koromaru provides an interesting play mechanic, as Ken can attack people at a distance while Koromaru can overwhelm the opponent with his speed, mean while their persona’s Kala-Nemi and Cerberus can provide powerful light and dark magic strikes. As with all the characters in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Ken and Koromaru will encounter their Shadow-selves during their story mission which comes with an extra punch allowing them to use unlimited SP powers for a short amount of time.
Ken and Koromaru is the final announced character for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the game is currently set to launch on September 30, 2014 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
