Two more characters have been confirmed for NetherRealm Studios’ latest entry in their bloody brawler, Mortal Kombat 11. The two new fighters are returning favourites Kabal and MKX’s resident bug-lady D’Vorah, who is responsible for at least one nightmarish scene that was hard to stomach, even in the realm of Mortal Kombat standards.
Kabal were shown during the first livestream Kombat Kast which was dedicated in showing off Kabal’s familiar powers and weapons, including his hook swords and nomad dash ability. The trailer (which you can see below) also highlights his buzz saw blades, which will come in handy in controlling movement, as well as a glimpse at his Fatality.
Shortly after, D’Vorah was introduced in an Inside Xbox Stream, where she was confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11. She didn’t get as much of a highlight as Kabal did this time however, but we’re likely to hear more about her movesets and how she has been updated since MKX in the next Kombat Kast on February 14th.
D’Vorah and Kabal joins the current cast of MK11 characters, which includes fan favourites – Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Sonya Blade, Baraka and Scarlet, as well as a brand new character, Geras, who will have the ability to manipulate time. NetherRealm also confirmed that the story will take place after the events of MKX and involve some form of Time Traveling.
