Who would have thought that the “Worst Company in America” – award winning company for two years running would be nice enough to not take any profit in the latest Humble Bundle. The Humble Origins Bundle sponsored by EA has earned over 9 million dollars at the time of this writing, making it one of the most successful Humble Bundles in history.
The records had blown away the previous champion, the Humble Bundle V, which took 5.1 Million dollars over it’s two week campaign. The Bundle features some of EA’s best games of this generation Dead Space, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Mirror’s Edge, Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor for a pay-what-you-want price for charity. Paying over the average (at this time of writing $4.83) gets you Battlefield 3, The Sims 3 and two new additions to the bundle, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Uprising and Populous.
The Bundle ends on Wednesday, so we can expect the funds to continue to rise. The funding is great news for the Charities that will be collecting from this dive which includes Human Rights Campaign, Watsi, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, American Red Cross, GamesAid and the American Cancer Society.
