CD Projekt Red’s stand-alone card game based on popular Witcher 3: Wild Hunt past time – GWENT will be going into Open Beta on Xbox One, PC and PS4 on May 24rd!
“Public Beta is the next step in the game’s development process, one that we’d be honored to continue alongside everyone who’s been with us thus far,” said Benjamin Lee, Development Director at CD PROJEKT RED. “It’s also a chance for many new gamers to play GWENT for the first time and we’re looking forward to making the game even better with their help.”
With the Open Beta starting, this will mean that progress for those who were lucky enough to join the closed beta portion on PC and Xbox One, will see their progress reset in order to hold equal footing for the new-comers, losing any Card Collections and Player Level they acquired. That being said, those in the closed beta will receive some additional perks including which can be found on the GWENT site
GWENT is a fan-favourite card game that kind of exploded in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game was so popular that CD Projekt Red included a GWENT Deck for a special edition release of The Witcher 3’s DLC – Blood and Wine. The Gwent stand alone game will be free to play upon its full release.
