If you’re the kind of person who believes that if Soccer had more guns and explosions involved it would be much more interesting, then we recommend taking a look at Dog House Studios and Loogaroo’s latest game Battle Ball which is currently seeking funding via Kickstarter.
Battle Ball is a 2D soccer shoot’em up where players pick one of 4 classes to shoot a soccer ball into the opponents goal. Each class comes with their own primary weapon and characters can be equipped with perks to help control the playing field such as ground stomps, extra rate of fire, and more.
The game will offer a variety of modes including 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and a special mode called “Gun Tier” where your weapons strength depends on your score. The game will also feature a rocking soundtrack thanks to Lionsault (read our review of their debut album “Are you feeling Lucky?).
Currently the team is looking to raise $30,000 CAD with 30 days left to fun with a copy of the game given at the $12 tier. Check out their Kickstarter page and help back this awesome game.
