After it’s official announcement last month at the Tokyo Game Show, Arc System Works has confirmed the Guilty Gear Strive Cross-Play beta for Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and PC on October 13th-17th 2022.
Arc System Works has confirmed via a blog post on the official Guilty Gear Strive website that the beta will be a separate download via the PS Store and Steam, and will be available to everyone even if they haven’t purchased the game (great for those friends of yours who need a new fighting game obsession.) Playstation players don’t need a PSPlus subscription to enjoy the game’s multiplayer aspect as well.
The beta will also include 21 characters available to play, including additional DLC characters such as the recently released Bridget, Baiken, Jack-O and more. For those who haven’t got into Guilty Gear and need some training, the Beta will also include some single-player aspects including Mission Mode, Survival Mode, local play VS Mode, on top of the Online Multiplayer function with Cross-Play.
Guilty Gear Strive was released in June 2020 for Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and PC, and is currently in the second season of extra content. A Xbox version of Strive has been confirmed and will be releasing in Spring 2023 with cross-play compatibility on Xbox Game Pass.
