From the original Grand Theft Auto V gameplay trailer, we knew that the game had our attention and was going to be taking up a lot of our time. What really captivated us though was the 5 seconds of multiplayer that shown at the end, which looked like a fun little add-on to entertain us like Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV’s multiplayer. Rockstar Games released the official Multiplayer reveal, naming the new online mode Grand Theft Auto Online.
Grand Theft Auto Online builds on everything that is including in GTAV including a mix of activities like parachuting, racing, golf and tennis, along with the classic multiplayer modes where we get to blast each other to bits. GTA Online will also include stockmarket and real estate for your character to purchase with money earned from events and co-op missions like bank heists. Money can also allow you to customize your characters, which now also feature female avatars as well.
While GTAV will be hitting shelves on September 15th 2013, we’re going to have to wait for the Online mode which will be landing on October 1st and will be free with every copy of GTAV.
