You may not notice it but music plays a huge part in gaming. From giant orchestrated work or a hard pounding rock solo to get us ready for taking on that final boss, or a heart felt emotional piece to make us feel sad about a character dying. Here are the games we though had the best music of the year.
*Note from Editor – We are including the Updated OST by Dino Lionetti for River City Ransom Underground as it is phenominal and hasn’t caused anyone to get a DMCA . Please note we are NOT endorsing the music prior to November 16th’s update.

Like the animation that Cuphead pays tribute to, its music follows the same inspiration and delivers on what is possibly the best boss battle tunes of 2017. Composed by Kristofer Maddigan, the game’s soundtrack delivers 3 hours of original jazz, early big band, and ragtime music, as well as featuring a 13-piece big band, 10-piece ragtime band and much more.
