Sucker Punch studios have announced their open-world samurai game, Ghost of Tsushima, will be coming exclusively to PS4 on June 26th. To announce the release date, Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new story trailer that focuses on the game’s protagonist, Jun Sakai, and his mission to protect the people of Tsushima from the Mongol invasion.

With Tsushima on the brink of destruction, Jin Sakai must sacrifice everything to defeat the ruthless Mongol invaders and protect what’s left of his home and people. As he embarks on an epic adventure for the freedom of Tsushima, he is forced to set aside samurai traditions and become a new kind of warrior.
Sucker Punch also announced multiple editions of the game with a $69.99USD/$89.99CAD Digital Deluxe Edition – which comes with a special Digital Art Book from Dark Horse, a Hero of Tsushima skin Set, Director Commentary, and Samurai PS4 Dynamic Theme – as well as a $169.99USD/$219.99CAD Collector’s Edition which comes with a physical edition of the artbook mentioned, a cloth map of Tsushima, a Sakai Mask and Stand, a Sashimono War Banner and Furoshiki wrapping cloth – as well as the digital bonuses from the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Ghost of Tsushima was originally announced in October 2017 and is the first game from Sucker Punch since Infamous Second Son and its companion game, Infamous First Light.
