Admittedly, we’re a little late to the party on this one but for all of you who didn’t know, the new Free-to-Play shooter based on Shirow Masamune’s Ghost in the Shell anime series, Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex – First Assault Online (hereby known as GitS:SAC-FAO… crap even that is too long to write out!) has entered Early Access.
The Early Access version of the game will cost you $5 to gain access to the game via the “Early Recruit Access Pack”, with various access packs that come with exclusive skins and bonus in-game cash pricing up to $30.
GitS:SAC-FAO follows the Standalone Complex anime series (rather the newer Arise series) and puts players in the shoes of Public Security Section Nine, an anti-terrorism organization that employs a cybernetically enhanced team of soldiers. The game will pit players as Section Nine against a team of equally power group of soldiers, promoting teamwork by sharing special abilities.
The Early Access version of the game is the unfinished game, and currently there is no release date for the full release which is being published by Nexon.
