Microsoft had a decent year on pretty much everything but the First Party games in 2019. Aside from dropping Gears 5 which continued to improve the series, other games like Crackdown 3 were major flop. Still, they easily had one of the best E3 press conferences and announced that they’ve added a bunch of new studios to their First Party line-up which included Ninja Theory, Double Fine, Obsidian Entertainment and so much more. So while 2019’s Best Xbox game may include a bunch of multiplatform games this year – its likely that we won’t see this in the future with the Series X around the corner. Here are our choices for Best Xbox Game.
The Outer Worlds
Greedfall
Void Bastards
Gears 5
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
AND THE WINNER IS:
STAR WARS: JEDI FALLEN ORDER (EA/Respawn)
When we pick a multiplatform game to represent the best on Xbox for the year there are a lot of factors. One of which the controls and this is what Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order does so well over its competition, The Xbox One controller feels perfectly designed for everything that Jedi Fallen Order has to throw at your (which is honestly a lot.) It’s honestly our preferred way to play this awesome action-adventure game.
