These games were so good that we didn’t mind playing them again on a newer system. However, this year we got some new in the world of remakes and remasters as both Nintendo and Capcom decided to make some changes both in graphics and gameplay when it came titles like The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Resident Evil 2, meanwhile, games like Catherin: Full Body expanded on its source material with new stories and characters, while Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered just proved that you can’t fix near perfection. Here is our pick for Best Remake/Remastered of 2019.
Catherine: Full Body
Ghostbusters: The Video Game – Remastered
Resident Evil 2
Metal Wolf Chaos XD
Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
AND THE WINNER IS:
RESIDENT EVIL 2 (CAPCOM)
Resident Evil 2 is by far one of the best horror games on the Playstation and when Capcom announced RE2’s remake, we were ecstatic knowing that it would be using the RE Engine that made RE7 look so damn good while adopting a lot of the upgrades that the series has benefited from – like over the shoulder camera and better controls. The game wasn’t a 1 for 1 remake, with the team changing up some scares to keep things fresh, but it is still the classic Resident Evil game we’ve come to love.
