This is the hardest to track list because there is so many indie games being released that it’s easy to fly under our radar. Of this year, we chose between a time-bending Samurai, the best Advanced Wars like Strategy that Nintendo didn’t make, a heartbreaking supernatural tale set during the Plague, one of the best RPG’s of the year and a douchebag Goose. Here is our picks for Best Indie Game:
Wargroove
Katana Zero
A Plague Tale: Innocence
Untitled Goose Game
Indivisible
AND THE WINNER IS:
KATANA ZERO (Devolver Digital/Askiisoft)
From the minute you load up Katana Zero, you’re pulling into an intriguing story with great visuals and a soundtrack you wouldn’t hesitate to add to your Spotify playlist. It’s fast-paced, violent, mysterious and just a blast to play.
