A lot of people usually say that graphics don’t matter, but those people are liars because graphics and animation is the first thing that catches our attention when we’re first introduced to a game. Whether it’s photo-realistic, a throwback to classic gaming or animation, or even some special effect that wows us. Here are our picks for the games with the best graphics of 2019.
Death Stranding
Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
Untitled Goose Game
Concrete Genie
Devil May Cry 5
AND THE WINNER IS:
Death Stranding (Kojima Productions)
In the past, our best graphics usually went to the quirky game that surprised us with how good it looked (see 2017 with Cuphead) but there is something about Kojima’s Death Stranding that stood out. It was really the full package – some great motion capture with stunning life-like visuals of the actors who played the characters, and its vast open world and cool monster designs made it a wonder to look at.
