As usual, the PC gaming crowd saw a lot of love. From 2 Epic Strategy Games from Firaxis, A beloved tabletop-franchise meshing with another fan-favourite, and two Indie games that have already won awards from us earlier in the GOTY List. This is our pick for best PC game of 2016.
AND THE NOMINEES ARE…
DEAD BY DAYLIGHT (Behaviour Interactive/Starbreeze)
X-COM 2 (Firaxis/2K)
STARDEW VALLEY (Eric Barone)
CIVILIZATION 6 (Firaxis/2K)
TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER (Creative Assembly/SEGA)
AND THE WINNER IS…
STARDEW VALLEY
For an indie game designed by one person, Stardew Valley’s response has been overwhelmingly positive and has been everything we’ve been looking for in a farming RPG that has been missing from the genre. A Farming Simulator mixed with RPG elements, full of interesting NPCs that players can interact with and even marry, and plenty of quests to keep players coming back and playing Stardew Valley their way.
