This year we decided to combine the Racing and Sports sections into one category, instead of fighting over which game had the most improvements over it’s yearly entries. This year, we also saw a few unique sporting games take the world by storm, but how well do the newbies hold up against the seasoned vets?
AND THE NOMINEES ARE
NHL 16 (EA)
BLOODBOWL 2 (Cyanide/Focus Home Interactive)
ROCKET LEAGUE (Psyonix)
FORZA MOTORSPORT 6 (Turn 10)
FIFA 16 (EA)
AND THE WINNER IS:
ROCKET LEAGUE (PSYONIX)
The Answer: Quite well. Rocket League blindsided us with it’s fast, addicting gameplay and solid multiplayer. Rocket Powered Soccer (and now Hockey) has done so well that back in July became an official eSport. There is no better Sports game to have come out this year that is as accessible, and more importantly fun, as this one.
