With the Fighting Revolution in full blow, it was difficult to decide who would win the best fighting game of the year. In the end it came down to two games fighting for the death.

MORTAL KOMBAT
What would also be considered the best remake of the year, Mortal Kombat gave us more for our money then fighting games usually give. A strong story mode, a great competitive multiplayer (only to be ruined by the use of an online pass), two on two battles, “Test your Might” and Challenge maps, this is hands down one of the best fighters.
Honorable Mentions: Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two worlds.
Capcom as has been strong in the fighting arena for a while now, and the highly anticipated Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, was an amazing, fast-pace game. It had a great 3-on-3 battle system that allowed you to judge your characters strengths and weakness and really plan out your attacks. However, it didn’t meet Mortal Kombat’s “Bang for it’s Buck”
