The developers of Tembo: The Badass Elephant and the extremely popular Pokemon series have not announced any new projects at this time, but thanks to a new job ad (translated by Siliconera and IGN), it has been revealed that Game Freak is hiring some Temporary employees for a “Globally Popular RPG” for “Consoles.”
The listing has sparked plenty of rumours that we’re likely to see a new Pokemon game coming to the Nintendo Switch, falling back to rumours from 2016 that a remake of the latest iteration of popular critter-capturing game (Sun and Moon) would be coming to the console as Pokemon: Stars which according to the rumour would have seen a release 6 months after the Switch Launch.
It’s hard not to think of Pokemon when the listing includes that the title is “an RPG game that is popular on a global scale,” that “just about anyone knows.” However nothing has been confirmed at this time. Of course, we’ll keep you posted on any further news develops from this listing.
