The Animated feature film based on Platinum Game’s curvy hair witch, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, will becoming to North America on Blu-Ray and DVD later this year thanks to the team at Funimation. The movie, directed by Fuminori Kizaki (Marvel Anime: X-men, Afro Samurai) and produced by his team at Gonzo, was released Theatrically in Japan late last year and adapted some of the key events of the first game.
While no full release date has been given for the upcoming movie other than a vague “later this year.” We can naturally assume that the movie will be release some time around October to follow the launch of Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U, which will include a port of the original game. Reviews for the Japanese version of the film was quite positive for it’s beautiful action sequences, a presentation more over the top than the game and a gratuitous amount of Fan-Service.
