Indie developer Stephen DiDuro announced that his team GalaxyTrail will be bringing their PC Platformer, Freedom Planet, to the Wii U possibly later this year. The game has seen some success on the PC, reaching it’s funding on Kickstarter and was accepted though Steam Greenlight.
For those who don’t know about the game, the site describes it as:
Freedom Planet is a combat-based platform adventure that pits a spunky dragon girl and her friends against an alien attack force. There’s trouble around every turn, from insects to giant robots to sheer explosive destruction, but you’ll have a variety of special fighting abilities to blast your way through each stage.
The game is currently available on Steam and off their website now for $14.99. No pricing or release date has been given for the Wii U version.
