Brendan and Jason go back to films somewhat related to movies on the BFI Top 100 with And Now for Something Completely Similar.
This week, Brendan and Jason don their uniforms for the wild and wacky antics of the girls at one of the worst schools in the world. Yes, it’s the 2007 reboot of The Belles of St. Trinian’s simply shortened to St. Trinian’s. The guys talk about everything including the film debut of Russell Brand playing himself instead of Flash Harry, the various modern-day updates including a theme song, the weird reality TV subplot, Rupert Everett and Colin Firth romancing each other and much more.
Next week: The guys continue their non-BFI Top 100 journey with a movie inspired by Anonioni’s Blowup (#60 on the list) in the form of Brian DePalma’s mystery thriller Blow Out starring John Travolta.
