Starting today until May 6th, players will be able to enjoy Ubisoft’s Knights/Samurai/Viking fighter – For Honor – for free, including access to the campaign in Solo or Co-op, all multiplayer modes and the original roster of 12 heroes.
The free weekend comes as an opportunity for new and returning players to test out the game after a year worth of updates, including 5 seasons of new characters and new modes, as well as the newest addition of dedicated servers which has allowed it to be the most stable and balanced version of the game.
Ubisoft also announced the return of the For Honor Warrior Training Program, an initiative that will reward existing and new players who work together. Returning players who play five matches while grouped with Free Weekend players will receive two weeks of revamped Champion Status, valued at 8,000 Steel, which will deliver even more XP boosts to players and their team as well as more loot following a match.
Those still interested in the fighter after the free weekend will be able to pick up the game at 75% off on all digital stores until May 15th. New players who purchase the game after the free weekend will also be able to keep their progress from the weekend as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with For Honor, giving it a solid 8 out of 10 in our reviews. Sadly since the review, the game did have some trying time with balancing, server connections and a dying fanbase. It’s latest update which brought in dedicated servers had seemed to fix a lot of the issues since then, so this weekend would be a great time to check it out and see how the game has progressed since then.
