The Five Nights at Freddy’s series has always been associated with being a tense horror game, but it looks like the next title in the series will be taking a completely different turn. Series creator Scott Cawthon released a teaser for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s World, a light-hearted RPG version of the horror series.
This isn’t the first that we’ve heard of FNAF World, as Scott previously announced the title in September stating that he wanted to use the Five Nights at Freddy’s characters “in a new and fun way because they are so near and dear to my heart, and I was excited to work on a type of game that I hadn’t made in a long time.”
“It will not be a horror game,” Cawthon said, “but a role-playing game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions.”
Five Night’s at Freddy’s World is coming to Android, iOS and Windows PC in 2016. We want to know what you think, are you interested in this Five Nights spin-off, or should it stick to its horror roots?
