If you thought killer animatronics was bad before, wait till they’re jumping into your face as Five Nights at Freddy’s is getting the VR treatment with a new game titled Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted.
Announced during Sony’s “State of Play” livestream, FNaF VR will have you attempt to fend off the haunted animatronics in various scenarios from the original games – plus new situations that will be exclusive to the VR versions. Still, knowing this is a Five Night’s game, you’re going to have to wonder if there will be a bigger event or inclusion to the story with this – or just wait until the next Game Theory for MatPat and his team to figure it out.
The VR immersion is guaranteed to make them all the more unsettling, but the addition to look around to handle the camera and dealing with various tasks while they’re stalking around definitely makes things more intense. The game is being developed by Steel Wool Studios, who released various other VR titles like The Horus Heresy based on the Warhammer 40K universe and Bounce – a VR Physics-Based Puzzle game.
FNaF VR: Help Wanted did not have a release date at this time, but will be out on PSVR, Oculus, Steam and HTC Vive.
