While Yoshida didn’t reveal much about the PC version or the DLC, he did confirm that development had started thanks to strong player feedback. According to Yoshida, “One thing that came through particularly strongly was how people wanted to see more of Valisthea’s story and spend more time with her inhabitants. To accommodate, the development team has started work on two installments of paid DLC.”

While we’re waiting on the PC version, an update for the current PlayStation 5 version was also dropped adding new customization options to the game including alternate outfits for Clive, Jill, Torgal, Ambrosia, and Joshua, the ability to change the appearance of their equipped weapon to any weapon that they previously obtained without changing stats, and the Onion Sword – an iconic Final Fantasy weapon that made its first appearance in Final Fantasy 3.
Yoshida has stated that we’ll have more information on both the upcoming DLC and PC version of the game before the end of the year.
