It’s that time of the month again where Xbox Live’s Games with Gold and Playstation Plus Instant game collection update to include new free games for the platform. This month is especially good as it includes a couple of cult favourites and award winners.
Starting with Games for Gold, Xbox One owners can get their hands on #IDARB, a unique 8 on 8 pixelated sports game. This game is actually available now for Xbox One and will remain free for the month of February.
Xbox 360 players will be able to pick up the heartstring puller and award winning Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons from the 1st-14th, from the 15th-28th Rebellion takes aim with Sniper Elite V2.
PSPlus subscribers definitely have a good deal going on this month, as PS4 players will be able to get their hands on SuperGiant Game’s spiritual Successor to Bastion, Transistor, a game that we nominated for several category’s during our Game of the Year awards including Best Playstation, Best Indie, and winner of Best music and Best Song. PS4 owners will also get Alien Trap’s Apotheon, a side scrolling hack’n’slash with art design based on Greek Art, when it launches on February 3rd.
PS3 owners will be getting 2 major titles including the cult classic open world Crime drama/beat’em up, Yakuza 4, which will be a good preparation for the upcoming Yakuza 5. Square-Enix and Eidos Montreal’s Thief remake will also be available for free on the PS3.
PSVita and PSTV owners will gain access to Kick & Fennick, an action platformer from Jaywalkers Interactive and the highly entertaining Rogue-like platformer Rogue Legacy. Rogue Legacy will be the only game participated in the cross-platform promotion and will be available on all three consoles.
