Marvelous has announced via Famitsu that a new entry in the Fate series, dubbed Fate/Extella, will be coming to PS4 and Vita. The game has been described as an action-oriented experience, with players taking control of various characters after the story of the Moon Holy Grail War.

Marvelous has confirmed that Saber Nero Claudius, Caster Tamamo-no-Mae, and Saber Altera will be playable characters in the upcoming brawler. The game’s story is being written by  Hikaru Sakurai and Kinoko Nasu, with character designer Aruko Wada, who previously worked on Fate/Stay Night and SoulCalibur.

The game is 60% completed according to Marvelous and is set to release sometime later this year in Japan. No word on if the game will see release in North America or Europe, the last game in the Fate series was released in North America in 2011 on PSP, which was distributed by Aksys Games.
