The first DLC Episode for Ubisofts Far Cry 5 will be launching on June 5th across all platforms. In Hours of Darkness, players will take control of Hope County’s Wendell “Red” Redler during his time in the Vietnam War, and attempt to find and rescue his fellow Squad Members.
The DLC will be available Solo and Online Co-Op, and will feature new gear and abilities as well as two new game modes – Survivor Mode, which will give players a limited load out for more challenging play, and Action Movie mode, where we finally get to live out the Rambo fantasies without having to play that god-awful game.
To prep for the upcoming Vietnam expansion, players also have access to new Vietnam-themed assets in Far Cry Arcade. Map Builders will be able to add these assets to their existing maps or create a new Hours of Darkness Themed levels. This will also be the case with future DLC chapters as well.
On top of this announcement, Ubisoft will also be releasing Far Cry 3 Classic Edition on PS4 and Xbox One for those who own the Season Pass today! Ubisoft also stated that we can expect the next two DLC adventures – Lost on Mars and Dead living Zombies – will be released later this year in July and August.
