Big movie News for you Harry Potter fans out there (who apparently like to be called “Potterheads” according to some internet fandoms.) JK Rowling has announced a deal with Warner Bro. Entertainment for a new movie based in the Harry Potter universe called “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” set 70 years before Harry’s story begins. Telling the tale of Newt Scamander, the author of Fantastic Beasts, the classic Care of Magical Creatures textbook used at Hogwarts.
This is big news of course because the movie deal will include an extended online presence at Pottermore, as well as consumer products including toys and Video Games. This would mark the first Harry Potter Universe game from Warner Bros. (Excluding the Lego Harry Potter series) as the rights would fall out of EA’s hands.
It is still too early to tell what kind of movie/video game will come from ‘Fantastic Beasts’ but already fans are quite pumped for the games.
