Lara Croft needs a little more polish, at least in the eyes of Crystal Dynamics who are hard at work for the younger, grittier reboot of the beloved franchise. Pushing the title back from a Fall 2012 release to a Quarter 1 2013 release, which puts it in just around the same time as Bioshock Infinite.
The delay was explained to bring us “a level that fans deserve,” as studio head Darrell Gallagher claimed that they want to make Tomb Raider “the best game of our careers.” Gallagher later added on the game’s official forum that “Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game.”
While the push back may be surprising to some, it does leave open for better sales for Edios resident Hitman, Agent 47.
Hitman Absolution, the 5th title of the series, is sneaking it’s way to a November 20th release. Pre-ordering at EBGames/Gamestop or on Steam grants you access to a stand-alone game, Hitman: Sniper Challenge. In which Agent 47 is tasked in taking out a mark and his bodyguards. Efficient players will get score multipliers, as well as upgrades that can be transfered over to Absolution. The Best Snipers will get the chance to go to Copenhagen Denmark to meet the Hitman Development team.
